A short time ago, I attended the immersive Klimt exhibit at the Star building in Toronto. If you want a different experience to appreciate his work, this is it. Presented in a visually different format, we were exposed to many of his well-known pieces. For me, it was a synopsis that led me to want to explore knowing more about Klimt.
I also saw the Beyond Monet immersive exhibit during the summer. Whilst I love the work of Monet and so enjoyed my visit to Giverney in Paris many years ago, I could not help being a little disappointed at this particular presentation. It lacked the crispness of the Van Gogh exhibit, with its music and stunning emphasis of brushwork when magnified on the huge circular screen. However, I appreciate having the opportunities to view these new and creative ways to see art, especially when travelling is so limited at this particular time.
Don’t miss out. GO and be transported into a world of art, buy a souvenir and treat yourself to lunch nearby. You will surely feel regenerated!
