About Christina Drummond
CHRISTINA DRUMMOND was born and educated in London, England, travelled extensively and came to Canada in 1982.
As a comparatively new resident of Fonthill, Christina was delighted to be asked to serve on the Public Arts Advisory Committee to the local Council and is enjoying working with a dedicated team of professionals to further Public Art within our community.
Christina always enjoyed modern design and when she first started painting approximately 10 years ago she quickly found her passion in acrylic, abstract art studying with a variety of teachers both in Canada and the U.S. She has exhibited in a number of different shows in Toronto and the US and last year held a Showcase and Sale with two other local artists at the Fonthill Library. Christina is a proud member of Pelham Art Association, Niagara Pumphouse Art Centre, Lakeside Pumphouse Artist Assoc., Grimsby and Just Art & Co.
She is drawn to shapes of bright, bold colours constantly experimenting with different techniques to bring fresh ideas to her work. Christina’s inspiration comes from a variety of sources and she is excited to combine acrylic paints with mixed media to obtain creative results. Her work shows her love of movement and it illustrates her inherent enthusiasm for happiness in everyday life. There is nothing boring about her paintings and everyone sees something different.
“Everybody has their own reality. We see what we want to see……..like life”
